Stepping Stones Concepts, an enterprising young company, set up by two smart and dynamic entrepreneurs – Amit Marfatia and Parin Mehta, was born out of the duo’s combined passion for design and manufacturing of trendy eyewear with timeless appeal.
Amit Marfatia is well-known in the Indian optical community for his expertise and sound knowledge of his field. He has worked for over a decade in the optical fashion industries producing successful product designs, manufacturing, trend forecasting and also possesses a profound proficiency in blending technology with art. This experience is easily evident in his own eyewear brand “Pavarotti” which enjoys a high popularity in the market.
Amit’s skills are beautifully complemented by his partner Parin Mehta, a young entrepreneur, who hails from a retail background and is equally passionate about technology and innovation. Together, the dynamic duo, have mastered the art of producing quintessential designs using their past experience to the fullest. As a result, they have honed their skills to the extent that they can now find the unique from the ubiquitous with ease. Both are well- versed in their art and with their finger firmly placed on the pulse of consumer trends amongst GenX, they have now unleashed a new innovation in the industry.
Today, with the wide choice available in the market and opticians keen on maintaining high quality standards, most are often faced with high inventory challenges. Responding to this, Stones 3D has added another feather to its cap by skilfully coupling together novel technology with additive manufacturing. This can help attain maximum revenue generation from a minimum inventory. The objective is to offer opticians new opportunities to get a step ahead in their game by providing more durable, resistant, personalised eyewear manufacturing.
The process starts with the distribution of “3DNA”, an eyewear customising software that sculpts a unique frame, statistically for every face. The entire eyewear is styled and sized with a 3D facial scan as its 3DNA feature allows for rapid design collaboration with optical professionalism.
The sophisticated software presents a wide plethora to choose from vast materials and colours from titanium, horn, acetate, cork, wood, stone, carbon fibre and pearl. The product made from tooling to sculpting, into a state-of-the-art product, is then processed and delivered within a few days.
In its continuous endeavour to offer an eyewear of unrivalled quality, style and silhouette, the young partners recently ventured into manufacturing revolutionary 3D printed eyewear under their brand “STONES 3D” for the first time in India. The newly launched eyewear which can be personalised as per demands, consists of 15 designs with multiple colour choice options. The manufacturing process evolves into various stages from design to deliverance truly serving a beholder’s delight.
The eyewear is carved by expert designers who seamlessly combine aesthetics and innovation to present a collection, way ahead of time. The frames are then finished with the best international dye colours and processes to produce a range of trend-setting colours, in both vibrant and subtle hues. The pieces are finally assembled with custom made hinges followed by stages of quality checks.
